Hello Mohita,

We are going to use this Part TMS320C6416TBCLZD1 from Ti to our designs.

I want to know, if this IC required any external memory. The Datasheet of the DSP IC, in which two external memory interface mentioned.(EMIFA and EMIFB).

This EMIFs memory is required to connect externally. Or it is inbuilt into the DSP IC.

If we need to connect externally, suggest me the Part number of the External IC.

The TMS320C6416T internal memory is limited to L1 (2x16KB) and L2 cache (1024KB), therefore you really need to have external memory for any practical applications.

You will need determine which memory device to use based or your needs and will work with the EMIF interface/timings - there are no recommendations.

Paul, Thank you for your reply. As per your reply we need external memory compulsory to connect in our design. Can you please suggest the part number of the external memory itself. And can you please provide me the reference schematics or Board file of "TMS320C6416TBCLZD1" DSP Co-processor. Thanks.
