AM69: RS485 mode support by WKUP UART

I have a question about the AM69 UART.

I want to use one RS-485 using UART, so I checked the datasheet and TRM, and AM69 has 10 UARTs on MAIN, one on MCU, and one on WKUP, but most of the UART pins on MAIN are being used as VOUT0(24 BIT RGB) and RGMII.

Currently, the WKUP UART is not the only UART available for use.

Is the behavior of the WKUP UART different from the regular UART? Apart from the WKUP UART operating in low power mode, are there any other differences in functionality and performance?

Please check if the AM69's WKUP UART can be used the same for RS485 mode as the regular UART.

Hi Jack,

The WKUP, MCU, and MAIN UART are all capable for being used in RS-485 mode. The behavior of the UART should all be the same. Take a look at this figure from the TRM with an example of MCU_UART connection in RS-485 mode.
