Hi Team,

Is it possible to know what specific changes were made in the version changes between TISCI documentation?

Introduction — TISCI User Guide

I was not able to find release notes for the user guide.

2.1. Release Notes — Processor SDK AM62x Documentation

I see updates to DM FW for example, in the most recent Linux PSDK release notes. I understand that sometimes it is not necessary to change the TISCI API even though FW changes have been made, but is there a way to confirm that TISCI has not changed to accomodate for RM/PM/TIFS FW changes?

Hi Mari,

The TISCI API interface will never change between the DM/TIFS versions. The functions in the DM/TIFS firmwares implementing these TISCI APIs may change but that should be treated as black box from a user application perspective.

In any case, the SDK documentation now publishes the Known and Fixes Issues for both DM/TIFS identified with the common id SYSFW-*.

Is it also device agnostic? In that between AM62x and AM64x, I see there are differences in TISCI documentation version as referenced via the PSDK for each. Why is there such a version difference?

Hi Mari,

The TISCI API interface is same for all devices.

I am not sure of what you are referring to here? Maybe you could point me to the resource itself to understand the query?

Hi Mari,

Those are incorrect links. Probably, the SDK documentation is not updated to reflect the correct links.

Any SDK is expected to refer to the following latest TISCI documentation link
