I am looking at the TRM document and have a question about the image above.
Each component has bypass written on it. Is it set to the default bypass configuration? If I can set it, where should I set it?

Hello Kim TaeJung,
Thank you for the query.
The Bypass allows you to select the functionality.
I understand the display driver support configuring these functionalities.
You might want to review the display driver.

Hello Kim TaeJung,
Thank you.
I understand the display driver manages the configuration of the registers.

Hello Kim TaeJung,
Refer below expert inputs:
When any of the functional block in the pipeline configuration are not configured, the functional block is in bypass mode.
There is no specific bypass registers.

Hi,
So, when the video is not output via kmssink and output via fbdevsink, is it bypassed because no blocks are configured?

Kim
Hello Kim TaeJung,
Thank you.

I am not sure i these initialize the DISPC.
Do you have access to the code to do a check?
Regards,
Sreenivasa
hi
We haven't written any code yet.
I was just wondering if it goes through the DISPC block when outputting to a fb device with gstreamer instead of simply using the tidss driver.

Kim
Hello Kim TaeJung,
Thank you.
Let me check with the expert and reassign to support.
Please expect some delay in response.

Hi,
When you run gstreamer through kmssink, you observe no output? Is that a correct understanding?
Regards,
Krunal
Hi,
If use kmssink, the output will be verified.
However, I did not set up the DISPC block, but I am curious as to whether the DISPC block will operate in a bypassed state in this case.
Regards,
Kim
Hi,
After the DISPC block it passes to OVR Manager.
If I don't set up the OVR Manager, will it be bypassed?
Regards,
Kim
Hi Kim,
If you don't plan to use any of the features from OVR then the frame buffer will just go to the VP for output.

Krunal
Hi
In the case of RGB in the VP block, skip the CSC block and output RGB directly?
Also, in the case of YUV data, does CSC have to be performed unconditionally in the VP block?
Regards,
Kim
Hi,
1. If RGB mode then bypass is set and RGB will be outputted directly.
2. For YUV, you will need CSC and need to configure all the coefficient as described in the TRM.

Krunal
