TMS320C6418: DSP/BIOS task stop running after some time

Dear All,

we have a custom board with a C6418 DSP. There the DSP/BIOS is running. It is used in a mature product for some years.

For some time now, we are faced to a problem.

We observe that after some time all tasks except the idle task stop to work.

The tasks do not come back from the task sleep.

Not at once but one after another.

The ROV classic, does not show anything wrong with the task stacks.

We don't know where to start investiagations.

Can you tell us what can cause the described behaviour?

    Hello Bernhard,

    C6418 is too old for us to provide software or hardware design support, as per the banner on the product page:

    Nobody on our team has any experience with this software any more, so we are not going to be able to help.

    Feel free to search the e2e forums - you might find threads from previous customers that are helpful.

    I am reassigning your thread to another team member, just in case they recognize any of the behavior you are describing - however, keep in mind they do NOT have experience with your specific part, and they might not be able to offer any assistance either.
