AM623: Lack of /usr/lib/dri/tidss_dri.so when runing QT applicaiton on customer board.

Tool/software:

Customer use ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am62xx-evm-08.06.00.42 and run QT application but encountered issues that report error like this:

They did not use the default file system, but used their own compiled system by buildroot.

Is this .so open source or need request access authority?

What is the possible reason, because I found there are many thread also report this error.

Here is additional info from custoemer:

They did not run their QT application based on our default rootfs because it did not support running on our default roofts, which require much porting work load.

Also customer searched tidss_dri.so on our default rootfs and it is not included as well.

Hi Zekun,

Based on the above thread, your customer is AM623 part and that does not have GPU. Based on the error you shared, it seems like GPU libraries are missing. I guess I am little confused on what your customer is trying to achieve. Also, on 9.x release, we added support for SW rasterization where Qt or other apps can run even if GPU is not present. It was tested as part of Yocto and not for buildroot.

Hi,

I would recommend using 9.x SDK instead of 8.x. We made significant changes in the GPU driver from 8.x to 9.x release.
