PROCESSOR-SDK-J784S4: DP Link training fails during CR phase

Hi,

We are using J784S4XG01EVM for our graphics development. We have ported DSS from ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j784s4-evm-09_01_00_06. We are trying execute DSS example provided and facing issues in DP link training for DP0(eDP port). We observed two types of behavior:

Link training fails during CR phase(8 out 10 times)
Link training passes but couldn't see anything on display(2 out of 10 times)

We are using A72 core for running DSS application. Kindly let us know way forward for this issue

Hi Madhu,

I dont think we have validated DSS example on A72. This example is only tested from R5F. So can you please first see if it works fine consistently on R5F?

Is there any limitation for DSS use on A72?

We have tested given example on R5 building ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j784s4-evm-09_01_00_06 application and it worked fine. We need to use DSS from A72 in our environment.

Not limitation, but we have not validated, so there could be issues..

Hi Brijesh,

We observed that link is stable only for 2 to 3 ms when it passes the training. Could you give us any check points or suggestions to debug further.
