Power Estimation Spreadsheet for C6678

Hi,

I have found the C6678 power estimation spreadsheet online (rev 1.0).

The CVDD seems to be set to 0.85V.  I can tell this with it's conversion from amps to power.

Does this 0.85V give the highest power use?

There seems to be a rogue box that says "Core Voltage", but I have no way of changing it.

I am using Microsoft Excel 2010 (v14.0.6106.5005 (32 bit)).

Cheers,

Richard

  • Richard,

You could have equivalent wost case power at higher voltage levels, but it would yield a lower current.  When displaying the current, we take the worst case power for the scenario and divide by the lowest voltage level to give the worst case (max) current you potentially could see, which would be at 0.85V, the current would be less if it was operating at 0.95V for example, but the worst case power would still remain the same.  The worst case current is needed for appropriately sizing the CVdd power supply.

    Best Regards,
    Chad
