SK-AM64B: Query regarding DDR ECC Test MAIN ESM on SK

I am testing the DDR ECC Test MAIN ESM example on SK-AM64B. In the example.syscfg file, there is some configuration done for DDR memory.

In this configuration the ECC protection start and end address is mentioned. But if I refer to MEMORY MAP page then the address range of DDR is different then the

one mentioned in the syscfg.

a. Can you please help me understanding how this address is range is defined?

b. As per configuration, I can only program 3 address ranges for ECC protection. Is this understanding correct?

The address given in the syscfg corresponds to the local address space of DDR i.e the 0x0 address given in syscfg will correspond to DDR's base address 0x80000000.

So, according to the screenshot you attached, the inline ECC is enabled for the following regions :

0x90000000 - 0x90020000

0x90020000 - 0x90040000

0x90040000 - 0x90060000

Your understanding is correct.

Three 3 regions can be configured. Each of them correspond to the registers attached below :

Yes, the DDR's start address will always be at 0x80000000.
