HDVPSS interface on DM8168

Hi,

When using the video in bus on the DM8168, if only VIN[1]A_D(0:23) is going to be used are both clocks (VIN[1]A_CLK and VIN[1]B_CLK ) required to be fed with a clock signal or only VIN[1]A_CLK?

Regards.

  • Hi Ivan,

I just wanted to clarify that VIN[1] only supports 16 bit capture.  If you need 24-bit capture then use VIN[0].  In either case, you only need the B_CLK if you are splitting the port into 2 separate 8-bit capture ports.  If you are doing 16/24-bit capture you only need A_CLK.

    Regards,
    Marc
