I just met with Tom and his primary quesion is centered on understnading how to change the default input camer seetings on the Mistral board. I beleiev the response so far discusses how to adjust the output settings. Thank you for your help!

Which daughter card are you using. Expansion IO daughter card can feed in upto 1080p on component input.

We are not using a daughter card. We are feeding COMPOSITE VIDEO (CVBS) into J13 on the main board, which would then be decoded on the main board by U97, a TVP5146. What we are asking is how to (a) tell the DSP via the Android operating system to take the video input from the TVP5146 and (b) tell the TVP5146 to take its input from the COMPOSITE VIDEO jack. Composite video, being analog at 525 lines per frame, is incapable of anything above 480p.
