AM5746: Applicability of LP-HCSL

I forwarded this question to a hardware engineer to see if she can also confirm.

I come mainly from a software background for PCIe, but from software-perspective, as long as the electromechanical specifications are followed, then there should be no issues.

As a side note, I see in the schematic files for this board: https://www.ti.com/tool/TMDSIDK574, we use CDCM9102 to generate the external 100MHz reference clock: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cdcm9102.pdf. The datasheet does not say things about low-power, but I assume if the specs are the same for the clock generator, then there should not be issues.

I am waiting to hear back from a hardware engineer.

As background, the CDCI6214 (HCSL) that we originally used has become
"NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW DESIGNS" and therefore to replace it
with CDCE6214 (LP-HCSL) is being considered, which is why we are contacting you with this inquiry.
