uPP xmit clock

Hello,

I am trying to pass data between an OMAP L138 and fpga via the uPP.  Channel A is xmit from the OMAP and Channel B is rcv on the OMAP.  Our FPGA guy is looping back the channel A clock to use as the tx clock for channel B from the fpga to the omap.  Is the xmit clock always on, or will we have to generate our own clock on the fpga for the xmit clock?       thanks, scott
