The use of U20 (W25X32VSFIG) in DM816x/C6A816x/AM389x Evaluation Module

Hi, I owned a Sitara EVM board (DM816x/C6A816x/AM389x Evaluation Module). Just wanna double confirm the use of U20 (W25X32VSFIG) stated at page 36 of evm816x_Schematics_RevE.pdf. Is it basically used for booting purpose? For example, if I decide to use NOR Flash as my only booting medium, then I can just totally ignore it?
