Query about the latest EZSDK on 814x

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest EZSDK package (i.e xx_xx_xx_60), I want some clarifications on it

1. Whether Video Conferencing demo is a part of the package?

2. We have VC Daughter card and 814x Base EVM, Whether we can use this package to run either "Video Conferencing demo" or "Capture_encode  example" using it

3. The catalog expansion I/O card is a must to run this package?..

Please provide your inputs on the same.

Regards,

Sudeep

Video Conferencing demo is not a part of the package. Please contact your local TI representative for details on alternatives.

Only the Catalog Expansion I/O card is officially supported with this release. You can tweak the application to run Capture_encode on the VC daughter card. Just be sure to use the correct VIP port number and mode when using TVP 7002 on the VC daughter card. Please refer to the capture_encode example source code.

For a good Out of the Box experience, yes. But if you are willing to experiment, the VC daughter card also is functional, though not thoroughly tested.

  • Hi Archith,

Thanks for your reply. I have a couple of questions:

    1. Format of HDMI Input for the VIP port (i.e if the HDMI has both Audio and Video component - is it allowed??)

    2. Whether the HDMI Output of Base EVM can be looped back to VC Daughter/EIO card input.

    3. Whether the Decoder Display HDMI output of one EVM board can be given as input to the VC Daughter/EIO card input of other EVM.

    Regards,

    Sudeep

  • Please route questions regarding the VC daughter card to your local TI representative.
