TMS320C6746: Upgrade paths for older C674x processors

Tool/software:

I have been using the C6746 for the past 10 years.  Is there a processor which has the similar capabilities, but some upgrades, such as more internal L2 RAM, or higher speed.  In particular, we make a lot of use of the UPP and the PRU on I/O pins, as well as SPI, EMAC, and UARTs, so we would like to still have these features.

    Thanks for the question - 

    Sounds like the C6746 still fit your current application, but you'd like to search for TI's new gen device to upgrade C6746, right?

    First of all, TI does have the C7x DSP products, performance is much better than the C6746, but so far, we don't have the standalone C7x DSP part, we have AM62A, which is 4x A53 + C7x DSP, target AI application, can you check if this helps?

    Also I'd like to point out we have the OMAPL138, which is ARM9 + C6x DSP. In case you'd like to leverage the existing design to fast the development, OMAPL138 is a good option to check if the performance adder brought by ARM will fit it or not.
