it is mentioned that "send IR subtracted Bayer 2x2 to VISS"
my query is whether we should compand this Bayer 2*2 before sending to VISS module as VISS is expecting a companded input?
Or as an other approach can we disable decompanding block in the RAWFE block so that we can directly pass Bayer 2*2 to VISS module?

It depends on the bit depth of your 2x2 images and DDR BW concerns.
VISS can take 12-bit companded and packed input format from DDR, which is more efficient for DDR BW.
Yes, decompanding can be programed differently for various input bit-depth.
