Regard ES2.3 GP of OMAP 4430

Hi All,

Is there any difference between ES2.3 GP device to ES2.2 devices?

I am trying to boot the blaze with ES2.3 GP device based omap4 platform using pre-built binaries and binaries build from source from release L27.G.3 with no success.L27.G.3 Release note mentioned there is support for ES2.2 EMU device but not mentioned support for ES 2.3 GP device. I want to use pre-built binaries for x-loader and u-boot. I need to touch only kernel and android fs for my application.

Some one can help me to get the right x-loader and u-boot for ES2.3 GP device.

Some one help me to know the s3 & s2 switch configurations for sd card and fast boot options.

Hi Kamal:

The difference between ES2.X GP and ES2.X EMU, is that the x-loader for GP (general purpose) doesn't need to be signed as you can see here:

I am not sure if the x-loader binary you downloaded is signed or not, the good news is you can get what you need pretty easily in the same page I just sent, or if you want to use a newer version give a try to this:

I know is a little more work, download the source codes and build it, but this way you can have more control of it. Hope this could be useful for you

Hi Kamal:

Forgot to include the S2 and S3 configuration for booting from SD, and for fastboot I assume you meant eMMc (internal flash memory).

S3 configuration is the same for both: S3: 1-OFF, 2-ON, 3-ON, 4-ON

S2 configuration to boot form SD is S2: 1-OFF, 2-ON, 3-OFF, 4-OFF, 5-ON, 6-OFF, 7-OFF, 8-OFF

S2 configuration to boot form sMMC is S2: 1-ON, 2-ON, 3-ON, 4-ON, 5-ON, 6-ON, 7-OFF, 8-ON
