We are considering replacing the SPI Flash ROM used in the AM3352BZCZ100 because it will be EOL.
Regarding the initial write to AM3352,
Are there any conditions for the ROM that would make it unsupported?
The first time writing to the AM3352 is done from UART0.
We are concerned about software usage such as commands, sector configuration, etc.

Generally speaking the most critical thing is really whether the AM335x ROM will be able to boot from the flash, everything else (in case there is any issue) should be solvable in software. For the basic requirements you can refer to the AM335x TRM section here:
Looking at your device datasheet the flash memory seems to meet all the requirements like SPI mode 3 support, read command 0x03 support, and 24-bit address support. So I don't see why this shouldn't work.
I can't access the second link you sent but you can check for the same items. Ultimately what you'll need to do is to just sample those devices and try them out. In case of any issues we'll help here with any guidance that may or may not be needed to update user SW.
