[AM1808] a problem on McASP + WM8731

I use wm8731 as audio codec, linux-davinci 03.21.00.04, dsp-a mode.

It plays music perfectly. But the voice recorded from MIC is distinguishable but has noise.

I2S, left-justified, right-justified mode will lose one channel, and only one channel will be heared.

Is this a device driver bug?

Thanks & best regards

  • Hi,

You should first ensure that the formatting of the audio link between the codec and the SoC is compatible. What modes does the driver support? The issues that you are facing could be due to incorrect configuration of the ports either at the user-space or in the driver.

    Regards,

    Vaibhav

  • Dear Sir,

How do you connect a WM8731 on McASP, do you modified any driver code in TI's PSP?

We are tring to do so.

    Thanks in advance.
