tms320c6713 not responding radomlly with boot loader

i have been using tms320c6713 on a custom board. it works well with the emulator in all respect.

but when it is run with boot loader, we found that randomly at power up time processor goes in undefined state and does not even respond to its external reset and never pick data from flash.

but most of time it works fine when power up again.

i am unable to find the problem with the processor. the only solution i found is to power up the system again until it works normally.

but its not the solution kindly suggest me

Check the power supply sequencing. Check the clocks and resets relative to each other and to the power supply

Are you using a gel file with the emulator? Is there something you're doing in the gel file that's not being done after a power-on reset?

sorry for late replying to you i was also out of the town .

we have two regulators one for 3.0v and one for 1.2v both have 5v input. clock and reset to dsp are proper.

we have only changed the pcb board.i.e only reduces its size with same design. it shows random behaviour. at one time it works normal but on other power switching

its stops and goes in indeterminate state

if you can guide us kindly, it will be helpful

The I/O voltage is 3.3V on the c6713B. You are running the device out of specification.

Hello usman yousaf,

I am searching for solutions to a similar problem and I saw that this thread said that the solution was verified, but you have not posted that this was a confirmed fix. Were you able to verify that with a 3.3V regulator your random issue with the C6713 was solved? I am curious because we are having a similar issue, but we are running at 3.3V.
