Hi,

I have a ccs theia project from mspm0l1306 mcu. I created it from the driver examples. I used mac to do that and then uploaded it to my repo.

Now when i use windows system to open the same folder/workspace, it does not even detect that as a project. I opened up those .cproject/.cssproject files, and they refer to all locations in mac style.

What is the best way to work with the same project between both mac and windows ?

Hello,

CCS (both Eclipse and Theia based IDE) should be pretty cross platform by default in regards to projects. It is likely your custom project has some conflict with Windows vs Linux paths, etc.

Can you share your project so that I can take a look?

Thanks. That project is detected and imports just fine into my CCS Theia 1.4.0 environment on Windows 10.

Are you importing the project via "File -> Import Project(s)"?

No, I am not importing it. I am just opening it from my repo location. Do i need to import it?
If so, would I have to do it every time?
How would it work each time I move between windows and mac?

Also, how does the workspace work? Do I need to open a folder first and then import project in it?

This is very confusing. Its like bringing eclipse into VSCode

Yes, the project needs to be explicitly imported to your CCS Theia environment.

Once you have done it once, then your environment would have a reference to it unless removed.
