TDA4VH-Q1: SGMII expansion board

There is no SGMII PHY daughter card available on ti.com to customers.
So, out of Box SDK SGMII is not enabled. We need to change the Ethernet application (EthFw) for RTOS application, and Device tree, SerDes Driver & CPSW Driver for Native Linux Driver.

Inhouse it was validated using bridge connector by connecting two EVMs back to back in MAC to MAC Mode form RTOS & Linux. Also, have SGMII daughter card for inhouse usage.

This is an update from HW IP team, as MAC sending wrong preambles if any PHY required proper preamble it will fail in setup Link.

DP83867 supports only MII, RMII, RGMII. Please refer to product page.

Yes, seems like above variants has SGMII Support. You may use with TDA4.

We haven't tested with DP83867.

Can you post query with D983867 Part number in E2E, It will get assigned to PHY forum. PHY will provide the confirmation.


FYI, I have seen pin level in DP83867CS/IS/E where we have SGMII Pins available, where as in others variants those pin mapping is not available.
