AM3517 EVM nand boot issue

Hello Champs,

We am seeing the below error. I reflashed it over USB using flash tool. However still see same issue. Can you please help resolve this?

Feorz:

Which ECC mode did you use to program u-boot into NAND? Default is HWECC, 1-bit. Set 1-bit ECC Layout drop-down

to X-Loader / U-Boot to get proper offset in spare area.

Any other ECC mode requires nandecc command in u-boot bootcmd.

It also matter which ECC mode x-Loader was built for.

Are you using SDK 5.0.2?

Hi Michael,

Yes I used the HW ECC 1 bit ECC and used pre built binaries of SDK 5.02. All steps using flash tool succceeded

Still same issue.

What can be wrong?

Since I done even have the xloader, I cannot go to u-boot

Please help.

So you're saying you can't use the prebuilt images and the flash tool successfully? Are you able to boot from SD and write to NAND that way to rule out other problems?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for looking into this.

I am able to successfully flash the Nand. Onky when I booot, I see this ECC related issues.

SD Card boot works and demos are up over that.

Any clues?

Well, if you can write the prebuilt images but see ECC errors when trying to use, that makes me wonder about the hardware. Can you mount the NAND in Linux, make changes and have them persist or does Linux complain / have problems too?
