Hi,

Customer is asking the following question.

When configured to operate as the "MII" Clock source, the signal does NOT needed to be routed back to the RMII_REF_CLK pin ?

Customer is refering Datasheet 7.10.4.2 Output Clocks

The Ethernet PHY device sources the MII clocks used to transfer data to and from the AM243x MAC.

CLKOUT0 is an optional 50 MHz clock source which can be used to as the RMII data transfer clock for both the MAC and PHY.

Could you let me know if it not neccesary to rout CLKOUT0 back to RMII_REF_CLK when they use MII PHY?

No, you do not need to use CLKOUT0 if you are using the MII peripheral. CLKOUT0 is an optional clock source that can be used as the source for RMII_REF_CLK. The RMII_REF_CLK signal function is not associated with MII.
