Hello,

We are looking for updating our TI-Linux kernel for a project using an AM57xx SoC

it seem's that the last one available is v6.6 but it don't provide acces to the VIP driver which is used in ou project.

vpe « ti « platform « media « drivers - ti-linux-kernel/ti-linux-kernel - This repo contains a Linux kernel that has been integrated with outstanding TI open source patches based on the open source Linux kernel found at kernel.org. Contributions to this kernel need to be sent to the open source community for review.

there is any reason why it don't implement again that driver? should i use the previous one which implement it like the v6.1 like below?

Hello Romain,

The last version of Linux that is supported on AM57x is 6.1, please see the following release notes: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM57X/09_02_00_133/exports/docs/devices/AM57X/linux/Release_Specific_Release_Notes.html

There has not been any further release done and the plans for a future release are not yert fully formed at this moment.

Romain,

Any future updates will be made to the SDK product page www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-AM57X. You can also keep in contact with your local sales representative. As of now there wont be any updating of the kernel for this device until late 2025 at the earliest.
