J722SXH01EVM: How to establish mcan communication

sdk: ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j722s-evm-09_02_00_05

I'm trying to run mcan example application(mcan_loopback_polling/main-r5fss0-0_freertos) from TI in mcu_plus_sdk_j722s_09_02_00_59/ folder. I'm not able to observe can data in the CANoe trace window.

Is there any procedure that I need to follow to establish the mcan communication?

Hello Tarun,

sorry for the delay.

As the name suggests the test is for loopback which means internal loop back, no data will be there on the transmit lines.Please go through the release URL

should disable loopback and I'm trying to only transmit the data on the physical bus.

Will the above line change from the file (mcan_loopback_polling.c) is sufficient or is there any other configuration needed for CAN transceiver.

Could you also provide an example without loopback to test on the bus.

Hello,

This can be a flag to disable internal loop back , i believe it is not tested with data transmission on bus by checking proper pinmux.

As of now we don't have any tested example on external transmit in SDK.

Can you share the pinmux configuration for mcu_mcan0, mcu_mcan1 and mcan0 that can be used for the evm.

Hello,

In your syscfg file you need to select the MCAN instances you want to use. Can you share me the pin mux configuration generated ?
