Hi,

We are working with J784S4XG01EVM with TDA4VH. We are in need of ISP Documentations like Tuning Guide(steps/methods to bring up), Tuning tool and ISP block details.

We will be working on this ISP tuning. We have initiated RTOS build for this ISP works. Kindly help us in getting the above mentioned documents.

Hi Gang Hua,

From the link you have given https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-jacinto7/latest/exports/docs/imaging/imaging_release_notes.html#Documentation, in the Documentation section, if I open this ISP Tuning Guide for J7/TDA4 file I am directed to the Application Report TDA4VMid VPAC ISP Tuning Overview file. But I need it for TDA4VH.

Even when I tried to access the same from the Imaging release notes directly from the processor page Processor SDK RTOS J784S4 through this https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-j784s4/10_00_00_05/exports/docs/imaging/imaging_release_notes.html link, I am still directed to TDA4VM.

Kindly help me get the details of TDA4VH.

This app note was created when TDA4VM was the only device in the family and it should apply to all TDA4 family devices.
We don't made app notes for each individual device name as there are too many now.

There is another app note for AM6xA devices under edgeai platform which you may refer to (ISP tuning part is common for RTOS and edgeai).

Thank you for the update. So you mean ISP Tuning part is common for all ?
Our concern is there is an additional VPAC provided in TDA4VH when compared to TDA4VM. And so we need to know if there are any changes with respect to RTOS driver and ISP Tuning for this change.

It will really be helpful, if you can make sure there is no change related to ISP Tuning and RTOS driver and that we can refer the above given documents by you. So that we can use TRM of TDA4VH for ISP H/W information as you mentioned above and for software we can use the other above given documents by you.

Yes, the ISP (VPAC, VISS, LDC, etc.) are similar in all TDA4/AM6xA devices (i.e., VPAC1, VPAC3 or VPAC3L depending on the device).

Yes, there are 2x VPAC3 in TDA4VH.

You don't have to make changes to driver for enabling 2x VPACs.
The driver in SDK already supports that.

The same ISP tuning tool supports all TDA4/AM6xA devices.

In RTOS platform, we typically use the single-cam app under vision apps to do ISP tuning with the ISP tuning tool.
That process is the same on any TDA4 device.
