Greetings,
As there are many solutions how to send compressed hardware accelerated video from cameras, there are no solutions how to send remotely Wayland desktop environments without XWayland implementation. As integrated GPU does not support desktop version OpenGL, I'm just curious how to solve this RDP server scenario.
Regards,
Alexey
Hi Alexy,
I would start with the following: https://man.archlinux.org/man/weston-rdp.7. Not something we have tested but saw that on weston's website.

Hi Krunal,
There is no problem to connect to remote host using RDP on AM625, there's a problem for AM62x to act like RDP-Server.
But in security perspective this is OK, since none should allow access remotely anonymously. As such Gnome environment should solve this.
Regards,
Alexey
Hi Alexy,
Thanks for the clarification and as of now, we don't have a good solution. Also, out of curiosity what's your usecase? I have always see you do interesting stuff with graphics library on our EVM.

Krunal
Hi,
The AM62P/AM67A platform is so advanced, that talking about one usecase is sensless. When talking about RDP server scenario, it whould be good to have configurable session timeout setting without signout. This is valuable when the remote link is unstable.

Alexey
Hi Alexey,
Have you checked with the weston community on the possible solutions or suggestions?

Krunal
Hi Krunal,
The main problem is solved. RDP-server scenario works now.
