TDA4VM: How to use I3C module?

Part Number: TDA4VM

Tool/software:

Hi TI,

we planned to use MCU_I3C0 module for our custom hardware. In the related post you mentioned, that:

"I3C driver is not supported in the Linux and we don't have plans to add support for this."

I have following questions regarding this:

1. Are you planning to support I3C driver in RTOS?

2. Can the mentioned module be used as a I2C module with corresponding I2C drivers in Linux/RTOS?

Thanks for your help and best regards,

Felix

  • Hi Felix,

    1. Are you planning to support I3C driver in RTOS?

We do not currently plan to support I3C driver in RTOS either.

    2. Can the mentioned module be used as a I2C module with corresponding I2C drivers in Linux/RTOS?

What do you mean by this? We fully support I2C module with I2C drivers in both Linux and RTOS. We won't support help converting I3C module into I2C and drivers involved for it.
    Thanks,

    Neehar
