Software Support on 816X processors

Hello,

I'm looking for some information on the DM816x processors. I have a customer who wants to do a dual HD H.264 encode and 1 HD H.264 decode (different stream) down scaled to SD. It looks like the hardware will do this, has anyone done a similar setup on the DM816x? I'm worried that the software support isn't there. The streams are H.264 up to 1080P60, with 2 channels of audio muxed into a transport stream.

Also, is there licensing cost for the software? I see free evaluation software but can't find what the production licensing is.

Yes this can be accomplish using the EZSDK5.2 release, which is free of charge. There is a click wrap license you must agree to during installation.

I would recommend looking at the example applications provided in the EZSDK as a baseline.

Is there an example that includes audio capture? I'd like a capture to transport stream and playback from transport stream.

There is an audio decode example, but the audio capture will not be available until EZSDK Release 5.3 (Nov 11th).

The transport capabilities will be enable using Gstreamer in the Dec 9 patch release.
