Hi,

I use dm816x evm board and daughter card with 16 channels analog input.

I have four questions about tvp5158.

1. Can the tvp5158 set an region and do motion detection according to the region for each channel?

2. Can I set image quality for each video channel?

3. Can I set frame rate for each video channel?

4. Can I set different video output size like as some channels are D1 and some channels are CIF or half D1.

    1. TVP5158 cant do that. But encoder which will be used to do encoding can do that.

    2. Again, i think you are relating this to codec engine,  you can set the basic image quality like brightness and contrast. But the image quality of encoder can be set using the encode engine  HDVICP

    3. Yes, TVP5158 driver supports dropping of frames, where you will drop frames at the capture port.

    4. TVP5158 supports half D1 and CIF captures for some combinations. But you can very well scale and crop images once its captured to memory.
