Simulator for 5515?

Hi,

Is there any simulator available in CCS4 for 55x devices? Now I am debugging with help of development board, but I think it is better to use software simulators to debug algorithm etc. without connecting to hardware. If possible please let me know about tutorials on the same.

    Hi,

     

    Yes, there is C55x simulator available. Go to File--> New--> Target --> select Texas Instruments Simulator at Connection --> check C55xx Rev3.0 CPU Functional Simulator

    Hi,

    Thanks, I tried but stuck at the following error

    Can't Run Target CPU: ERROR : Ensure that you have proper reset vector in your program  NOTE : Reset the target, reload the corrected program and continue execution 

    Init script is default, i.e

    simulation\env\ccs\import\tisim_c55x.gel
