Hi,

1. I have a task of interfacing multi-channel  data acquisition board from National Instrument to OMAP-L138 EVM.  Can somebody help me in getting started with.

2. What packages are required,?

3. Where I find the getting starting examples to read/write any individual channels.

4. How to transfer the data to host PC via USB cable?

Regards,

Prat

  • Prat,

    • What is the approach you are taking to implement your project?
    • What is the connection between the data acquisition board and the L138?
    • Do you mean SW packages? Please start by looking at the SDK provided for this platform: http://www.ti.com/tool/linuxsdk-omapl138
    • How is the channel data communicated from the acquisition board to L138? Does the data follow any std format/protocol?

    Cheers,

    Gagan

  • Hello Gagan,

    - Approach

             SYS/BIOS, CCSV4.2, OMAP-L138 EVM from logicPD, XDS100V2 emulator

    - Connection

Data acquisition module and L138 are connected  though USB cable.

    - Software packages

I dont find which software package is to be used for USB code development under SYS/BIOS (ARM +DSP).  The BIOSUSB package seems to be for BIOS5.x not SYS/BIOS.

           I do NOT use Linux

I have BSL from logicPD  too

But not sure which way to go

    -  The analog signals are  fed to USB DAQ module. I shall find, from NI, the data format/protocol outputted by DAQ USB.

    With best regards,

    Prat

  • Hello gagan,

How to provide USB connectivity to ARM/DSP/OMAPL138 in SYS/BIOS project is the burning questing now.

Can you please help with your expertise?

    With best regards,

    Prat

  • Prat, the easiest way to enable such functionality would be the starterware product that supports C674x/OMAPL13x/AM18x products. The product will include support for USB functionality in no OS context and can be used with SysBIOS. The product will be released shortly. I'll update you once the release is made

    Cheers,
