Hello Team,

I have tested few MCAL/mcusw demos from "ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721s2-evm-09_01_00_06", Eth communication/transmission is working.

Due to limited availability of TDA4VM Evm, trying to run MCAL/mcusw "ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-09_00_01_01".

When i try to run TDA4VM eth_test_app example, getting below error during Eth initialization.

As per my knowledge the main difference between TDA4VM and TDA4VE is

MCU core Cortex_R5 is same in both EVMs.

Q) is examples are compatible on both Evms with minimal changes?

Q) what are the main differences in between TDA4VM vs TDA4VE?

Both are different SoCs.

You can still use same Common processor board and use TDA4VM or TDA4VE SOM.

But, the sdks are completely different you suppose to use TDA4VE sdk for TDAVE and for TDA4VM you have to use TDAVM sdk.

Thank you for your information.

My intention is to use Cortex-R5 core, and my application is intended to run on the same.

Above reference from TI web page.

Eth_test_App example of TDA4VM is started execution, but failed at EthApp_init and exactly in AppUtils_EthDmaOpen().

As per my knowledge DMA initialization related to shared memory allocation.

Q) Do you have any inputs regarding memory related differences?

Q) is it possible to run TDA4VM example on TDA4VE with some modifications in examples?

*i have tested TDA4VM can_app example on TDA4VE and loopback test got passed.
