AM625: modify the McASP frequency

Hi expert,

Customer is using SDK9.0 and custom board

They need to modify the clock for the McASP. We can change the register to the desired frequency but don't know how to integrate it to the code. Could you please help to check where we need to change? Thanks

Hi Xingyu,

Can you elaborate more on your setup. Is MCASP used in Master or Slave configuration?

On our EVM MCASP is slave and details can be found in the Device tree:

You may want to modify the device tree based on your setup and what serializers you intend to use.

Hi Suren,

Below is our customer configuration. The default clk for McASP is 96M and they need to change it to 115.2M. Could you please help to check which parameter we can modify? Thanks

Hi Xingyu,

Line 526 says clocks= <&mclk>;

Whats the Master clock that they are configuring? In our case the MCLK is configured as (48KHz *256) = 12288000.

Section 5.2 details on how the clocks are being calculated.
