AM62A3: Is it possible to correct wrapped image by using the LDC module of VPAC?

Part Number: AM62A3

Tool/software:

Dear TI experts,

Usually we use the LDC module to process the image for distortion correction, cropping or rotation. I would like to know if there are some unconventional distortions in the image, such as sine and cosine shapes, can the LDC module recover the distorted image according to the mapping table? The image before and after correction is shown below:

Best,

  • Hi Ding,

That should be possible to do as long as it is a well defined geometric mapping.

You may experiment in tuning tool or try it out directly on EVM to see if LDC output is good enough.
