McBSP unwritten channel: configuration?

Hi,

I would like to ask a question on McBSP I²S operation.

There are two channels in I²S protocol, and if I supply only the value for one channel, what would the output signal from DX (transmit) pins for another channel be?

I did an experiment and found that the signal seems to be duplicated, for the right channel, if only the left channel is supplied:

Is there any option to control the other channel output behavior when they are not written, say, all 0's or all 1's?

Unfortunately, no. If you do not update DXR then whatever value was prevoiusly written to DXR is continually shifted into XSR.
