PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: Change Simple-Pannel to SPI TFT

Hi,

I used the am335x-evm.dts to make the changes. I deleted all configuration about LCD and added SPI display and added a driver to Kernel. In dmesg I showed the message about the display starting but I didn't show something on display. I need to make some additional modifications in the SO to use the new display?

Hi,

Just to confirm, you plan to use SPI based panel instead of TFT LCD? Also, I am not sure about your comment related to simple-panel and could you please elaborate?

Hi,

Yes, I want to use SPI based panel instead of TFT LCD. I comment simple-panel because I modified the EVM KIT to connect SPI TFT LCD and modified the DeviceTree am355x-evm.dts to work SPI.

Xavier,

from your related post at https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/791/t/1414155 it looks like your issue is with the low-level SPI interface. You need to move past this before you need to worry about configuring the actual display.
