TDA4VM: DCC tuning order question

Part Number: TDA4VM

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am currently using DCC Tool for ISP Tuning.

I saw from the DCC TUNING TOOL USER GUIDE that the recommended Tuning order is:

Black Level Subtraction->H3A ->AWB ->Color Correction->CFA + WDR ->NSF4, but because several items do not indicate where the tuning order should be placed, my current tuning order is:

BLACK LEVEL CORRECTION->H3A->AWB->COLOR CORRECTION->CFA + WDR->NSF4->LSC->DPC->EE->Mesh LDC

Is this tuning order possible?

Because ISS Data Flow is used as the order, Tuning order should be:

BLACK LEVEL CORRECTION->DPC->LSC->H3A->AWB->NSF4->CFA + WDR->COLOR CORRECTION->EE->Mesh LDC

I'm not sure which order is correct, could you please help me understand, thank you.

  • Hi Jiarong,

    There is no strict requirement on tuning order.
    You may check each of them in any order to know everything well first.

    But, there are dependencies between blocks, e.g., you change parameters in an earlier block and that may affect the input the later blocks so that the later ones may have to be re-tuned.

    BTW, black level correction plugin is only for linear sensors (not WDR sensors).
