Dear Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with the initialization of the network interface in the QNX system running on the TDA4 J784 S4 processor. Upon system startup, the network interface is not active and does not appear in the device list when I use the `ifconfig` command. However, if I execute the command `io-pkt-v6-hc -d cpsw9g`, the interface becomes active and functions correctly. After performing a soft reset (using the `shutdown` command), the interface remains active, but after a hard power reset, it disappears again and is not initialized during system startup.

It seems there is a problem with the automatic initialization of the network interface during the boot process of the QNX system on this processor. I would like to ask what steps I should take or which settings I need to modify to ensure that the network interface is automatically activated every time the system starts. Are there specific configurations or startup scripts for QNX on the TDA4 J784 S4 processor that I should consider?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

  • Hi,

Which SDK QNX Release is under test?

In regard to " Upon system startup, the network interface is not active and does not appear in the device list when I use the `ifconfig` command. However, if I execute the command `io-pkt-v6-hc -d cpsw9g`, the interface becomes active and functions correctly."

When the ifconfig is seen to not work has the "io-pkt-v6-hc -d cpsw9g", already been run as part of initialization / system startup?

    Thanks,
