Interfacing TUSB3410 with TMS320VC33

Hi Everyone,

 

I want to interface TUSB3410 with TMS320VC33. I could not find any good app note about interfacing McBSP port with TUSB3410.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

    Okan,

    The TUSB3410 provides a USB to Async Serial interface.  The McBSP port of the TMS320VC33 only supports synchronous(clocked) serial data.  You cannot easily interface these two peripherals without some amount of logic in between the two.  Does the VC33 have a UART you could connect the TUSB3410 to?

    One thing to note: The TMS320CV33 is a discontinued part and not recommended for new designs.  Perhaps one of the C67x device would be better suited for your application?

    Also I believe this question is better suited for the DSP forums, so I am going to move this thread.

    Okan,

    I agree with Trey here.  We don't support he V33 anymore, so it will be very difficult to find someone who is familiar with the McBSP on this device.  The documentation that you can find online is likely your best reference.
