How to view a romfs image, created by the MAP/MAD tool, in Windows?

My host is a Windows 7 (64 bit).

I am using the MAP tool provided in CCS to create a combined (romfs) image containing the mad/nml elf loader and some apps for a C6678 DSP.

What is the most convenient way in Windows to view its contents? Primarily I just need to list its contents ("ls").

Of course, it would be excellent to be able to even manipulate the image, i.e. edit/create/rename files etc.

I found an answer myself; a good-enough hack called romfsck that is sufficient for my needs:

Hi Marty,

That's the only one I also know of. Just a note that the ROMFS generated by MAP tool doesn't update checksum in the filesystem.
