Can you provide the specific PMIC part number you are using?
HI Robert Eschler
Based on previous questions, please supplement:
In A72 core, Linux file write failed, and after 20-30 seconds, A72 crashes.
May I ask which type of chip malfunction may cause the above-mentioned problem? Can you help list it?
What suggestions do you have for the investigation direction of the above issues?
EN_DRV is a PMIC resource thus I have looped in PMIC team to help solve this issue. I'm not sure how a A72 crash is impacting PMIC unless its a watchdog timeout. I don't know if WDOG error will cause EN_DRV assertion. Hopefully PMIC team can help clarify.
For the TPS65941212 + TPS65941111 PMIC pair (PDN-0B), the EN_DRV pin is only pulled low during Orderly Shutdown and Immediate Shutdown sequences. These sequences can be caused by the following events:
What is an A72 crash from the PMIC point of view?
Can you provide a error log or anything helping to indicated cause of A72 crash? Since the PMIC also detect some type of error, it could be power related. Are you using TI's EVM or a custom design?
