IND-COMMS-SDK: Are spinlocks used in the EtherCAT PRU firmware?

Tool/software:

In your "PRU-ICSS EtherCAT Slave Firmware Data Sheet.pdf" document, it mentions that "ESC implementation makes use of one instance of HW spinlock (SPINLOCK_LOCK_REG0)".

However, I can find no information in the SDK or in the source code. Have any spinlocks been reserved for the ECAT firmware?

Hi Pratheesh,

Ah, while(bsp_hwspinlock_lock(0)); is the clue - this was conflicting with one of our spinlocks.

Please, please, please add a note to the SDK, in a prominent location, that spinlock 0 is reserved.
