Hi,
I would like to ask a question on OMAP L138 emulation.
In EVMAM1808 schematics sheet 27 there are two emulation headers:
|
|
Pin count |
|
TI 14 Pin JTAG |
14 |
|
ARM JTAG (Multi-ICE?) |
20 |
|
XDS560 |
14 |

What is the purpose of 20-pin JTAG on board? I read from Multi-ICE Version 2.2 User Guide from ARM.com that:

Since systems with "one or more ARM CPUs or DSP processors" could use Multi-ICE, is OMAP L138 included?
XDS560 I am using has only 14 pins. Since EVMAM1808 has both ARM and DSP cores, do I need an additional 20-pin emulator to debug the device? Do I lose any debug functionality, for example, cannot debug the ARM core, if I am not putting the 20-pin Multi-ICE header on board?
