AM67: AM67x USB Host MSC boot

Dear Sir,

In AM67x boot mode, it supports USB host (MSC Boot), do we have guideline on what to copy to boot from USB disk?

Second question is whether a USB bub will affect the boot behavior since customer would like to reserve feasibility for firmware update through USB disk which will through USB hub.

Can you point me to the document which you are referring to.AFAIK only dfu boot mode is supported .

Diwakar,

I was referring TRM chapter 5 initialization 5.4.6 USB boot.

However, it doesn't describe too much detail.

Sitara MPU AM6x support this mode as well.

Is USB host MSC boot verified to work?

Hi Rich,

I checked internally even on AM6x this is not supported though the boot switch configuration are there.Same is true for AM67.
