SK-AM62A-LP: DDR4 configuration for custom board

Hello,

We have a custom board using the reference design from: SK-AM62A-LP and the DDR4 configuration must be updated.

The memory used is from Winbond: W66CP2NQUAGS

Do you have any DDR4 configuration for this memory or recommendations?

What I identified until now is in the below picture:

I'm not sure what we need to modify on the IO Control A) and B) sections?

Also, can you confirm that the sections: Config A), DRAM Timing A) and DRAM Timing B) are all found in datasheet?

    Hi Liviu,

    we don't have a configuration specific to Winbond.  In general, you should be able to start with the default configuration and go thru each parameter in the Winbond datasheet to confirm the value.  The timings and system configuration are derived from the datasheet and the board schematic.  Most of the IO configuration should be derived from board simulations, as those will have the optimized termination and drive strength settings for your particular board design and device.

    Once you review the timings from Winbond and input them in the DDR configuration tool, you can post the .dtsi and .syscfg from the tool (along with the  Winbond datasheet) and i can help review your changes.
