PROCESSOR-SDK-J784S4: Doubt regarding SDK-RTOS + SDK-LINUX

Part Number: PROCESSOR-SDK-J784S4

Tool/software:

Hello Guys,

I plan to boot up EVM using the following sequence:

MCU_ROM -> R5F SBL -> MCU R5F AutosarClassicAppImg -> ATF -> A72 SPL -> A72 UBOOT -> LinuxKernel A72

                                                                                                                                                                         |

                                                                                                                                                                         ----> MAIN R5F and C7x cores

But i have a couple of questions:

1-During the generation of the SBL image (using SDK-RTOS) i can choose among GP/HS/HLOS, my question is, should i use the HLOS option (or GP/HS are also acceptable?) in this case since i pretend to use SDK-LINUX for A72?

2-Same question but regarding "non_combined" vs "_combined" image type using SDK-RTOS, which should i use (or both are acceptable?) in this case since i pretend to use SDK-LINUX for A72?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

    HLOS is an option for A72; if you have to use A72, you can use HLOS.

    2-Same question but regarding "non_combined" vs "_combined" image type using SDK-RTOS, which should i use (or both are acceptable?) in this case since i pretend to use SDK-LINUX for A72?

    Is this a combined SBL or a combined app image? and what does "non combined" mean?
