Hello Ryan,
As the title suggests, I want to configure OSPI to be a hold clock when free.
Do you mean to say that you want the OSPI clock to be running freely independent of it being used?

Hello Ryan,
I guess I would need to check with the HW expert on this.
I am assigning this thread to the correct HW expert and you can expect responses in sometime.

Hello Ryan,
Yes, Even if there is no data is being exchanged, I still want the clock to always exist.
On other chips, I have seen this kind of setting. Is it achievable on the AM64x?
Could you please share the use case.
The clock may not have been characterized fpor any other use case other that the OSIP interface.

Hello Ryan,
I checked with the design team internally and there is no provision to generate continuous clock.
If you could please provide the use case, i can check with the team if there are any alternate recommendations or suggestions.

Hello Ryan,
Thank you.
The use case you have may not be feasible.
Please refer inputs from the expert:
Not possible to create a free running clock that can be output by the OSPI IP. If there was a free running clock it would be unrelated to OSPI and could not be used for the IP in any way.
